This article discusses how they have a vaccine that can prevent the virus HPV, and are thinking about giving this vaccine to young girls. I think that this is great that they can provide a vaccine for HPV. This is a virus that affects many people, especially women, causing cervical cancer. I feel that it is a good idea to give young girls this vaccination early. Yes, abstinence would work better, however teens are starting to become sexually active earlier and earlier as time goes on. It is scary looking at the statistics. I feel that kids at that age do not fully realize the risks they are taking. Even a lot of college students have no clue. Chances are this may be the first time they have heard of HPV. This virus can potentially change someone's life forever. Why not try to prevent this before it happens.

HPV is the leading cause of cervical cancer; therefore if there’s a vaccine out there to cure it why not give it to girls and women to prevent this? I feel it is not necessary to make it mandatory mainly because of the cost, but it should be taken into account for young girls out there before it is too late. Society does not want to take into realization that teens are becoming more sexually active at an earlier age this reason alone is why this vaccine should be given to young girls. If I had the chance to protect my future daughter from getting cervical cancer no matter how it is caused, I would defiantly want her to get this vaccine. I agree with you all the way Katie!

This is a great article, I agree with you Katie if there is a vaccine it needs to be shared with the world. HPV is highly contagious, a friend of mine contracted it from his girlfriend, who didn't know she had it. This vaccine needs to be introduced to the world.
